Everyone already knows the reward with be worthless, a title or mini pet or the equivilent of the pre-sale weapons.
If you expect to get some major reward for it then you are setting yourself up for a major dissapointment.

I would follow Nugget's example.

The day I realize I play Guild Wars for something less than amusement or a diversion, I'll quit.
I never cared about benefits in GW2, it's a whole different game that we know little about. If it wasn't a unique start, it would just feel like more of the same. My reward will be that newbie feeling everyone has nostalgia over, when the game was fun.

Yeah, I just play for fun, if I get a few titles from it, well Cool Beans. Though once I've done all the quests, missions, elite areas, HM, Vanquishing, PvP a bit in all the arenas, etc, {probably be a few years from now}, I'll consider titles. Of course the PvE "title" skills are nice, but not necessary for all of the above.

Its already been stated numerous times that what you get from elements completed in HoM in terms of rewards in GW2 will offer no advantages over those who are new to GW2 and therefore have nothing to transfer from HoM. Means the things from HoM are much akin to collector's edition bonuses. If you are playing the HoM for anything more than that, seriously reconsider.

I'm curious to know what ANet actually considers "max" monuments, ie. how many minis do I have to dedicate to one character's HoM to have a "full" mini monument? My theory is that you only have to add until the point of overflow (when 'Rearrange' becomes an option). Surely they can't expect one of EVERY mini (save for the rare ones) there.
Likewise, I'm really wondering what ANet considers max on the titles & accomplishments monument (Monument of Honor). I hope they aren't expecting everyone to obtain max Kind Of A Big Deal title because, quite frankly, I don't know if I have that in me. I'll get close, yeah, but some of those grind titles may not reach conclusion.
Is ANet expecting everyone to max out their HoM anyways, or do you think they may simply reward all of those who fairly significantly work on it? As the reward isn't going to be all that advantageous anyways, I'm hoping the latter. This is an issue that I don't think has been clarified as of yet, but it's something I'd really like to know.

It wasn't really grind, just a lot of stuff to do (depending on what titles you did. No offense, if u included stuff like kurz/lux, and treasure hunter for your koabd, then you DID have to grind.)

For some people it isn't considered grind but fun. I know that. I also know some people who aren't doing it for fun. They're grinding titles (even though they hate it) just to see what they will receive in GW2. Those are the people I will laugh at.

Surprised nobody specifically said: whine. That's all people would ever do on the forums after such a thing happens.
As for me? Probably wouldn't care, as i don't look at the HoM and think "omg must buy this destroyer wep now to get more titles in GW2!!"

Well, anet could screw up royally make make those rewards actually worthwhile.
Don't underestimate "minipet" stuff (looks at kanaxai mini prices, even quite common ones like kunawang can fetch 100k+ gold)
Pre-order weapons are quite a boon too (i.e. perma presear characters having access to max weapons, tons of free and close to perfect weapons for heroes ...) Also, old preorder weapons hard weird (and kinda abuseable) stats. Lowend weapon with weird stats can be huge thing ... imagine what if -50 focus was preorder item.
Ofc, theese propably would not apply to GW2, but even innocently looking stuff can be considered major reward if you think it over.

what would be the point if you would get some really awesome bonus or something? i mean, mostly rich ppl only can fill the hall completely imo... also if you expect some uber pwning bonus, would it have any sense to start "overpowered"? while others will be "behind"... gamuld be boring then :P i personaly hope that hall will not have any reall effect on gameplay in GW2... tho i pretty much filled it
*dont flame, is just my personal opinion*
so my answer is: i'll just say gg Anet

Am I the only one who doesn't think that the Hall of Monuments is a massive disappointment, a "failure," or some huge scandal worthy of burning your GW disks on YouTube over?
Yes, its a likelihood that the HoM rewards in GW2 will probably be a sort of lame consolation prize. Yes, when it happens, there will undoubtedly be ranting and raving and "OMG ANET SUX!!11 I QUIT" threads.
I know I won't be disappointed. Why? Because I'm going to buy GW2 because I want to play it, not because I want my HoM rewards.

I think more than just a handful of people on a video game forum would have to care, for that to happen.
